The general Adirondack area is a mixture of public and private lands, Adirondack summer cottage rentals and permanent residences, mountains and valleys. Adirondack rentals are available in any one of several regions within the Park and in all shapes and sizes, depending on your needs. Due to the popularity of the region, you should reserve your Adirondack rental several months in advance, but there are usually last minute vacancies to choose from if you make a spur of the moment decision to visit the area. There are log cabins, summer camps, chalets, bed and breakfasts and lake front cottages with lake rights available on a weekly or less than weekly basis. Adirondack rentals are not limited to summertime, either.
